NYC Day 7 May 1st
Last night was awesome! After laundry, Dayna and I travelled down to Time Square. We attempted to find yet another restaurant for vegan food. After walking a million wrong directions, we found Blossom Du Jour. I’ve been craving a chai latte all day so on the way to the theatre we found a cute little cafe called Krave nestled between two big restaurants near the theatre district. Waiting in line, we heard the barista hand a customer a “dirty chia”. Dayna and I were very intrigued. Turns out a dirty chia is a chai latte with almond milk and a shot of espresso! Dayna had one iced and boy was it yummy.
Last night we saw the Broadway show “Jersey Boys” which was really good. I recognized about 40% of the songs but David, David knew every lyric to every song! The show followed the history of the band, “The Four Seasons” from the formation of the band to them being endocrined into the rock and roll hall of fame.
The show ended around 915 and to walk back to the metro line, we went through Time Square! The four of us were all singing “Oh What A Night” linking arms and walking through one of the most famous squares in the world. Dayna and I went to a photo booth and took some pictures, I grabbed some NYC souvenirs for my parents and we walked and enjoyed the lite up buildings surrounding us. It was a fun night.
Today we drove upstate to new Paultz, walked around the town and checked into our vegan bed and breakfast; “The Hungry Ghost”.
